Northern Seascapes

Over the winter and spring of 2021/22, the north coast of Scotland was subject to repeated storms coming from the northeast. On my local beach the sea was so wild it destroyed some of the groynes (wooden sea defences). I found the unpredictable fierceness of the North Sea both a source of inspiration and beauty but also sadness and loss. The storms are harbingers telling us of the urgent need to take action to protect our fragile eco system.
